Fire – Embody Peace

The practice of cultivating a relationship with Fire is connected to the practice of finding peace within oneself and to join in restorative justice when the rage of injustice threatens to burn—through violent revolution, more than is necessary—to the ground. To fight Fire with Fire is a practice that leads to total destruction and can be connected to a drive for competition of “power over.” To collaborate with passion for the betterment of all is the torch guiding us as we understand Fire as a component of our own bodies, minds, souls, and spirits. As I listen to Fire for guidance, I hear Fire saying we are burning too much on all levels of existence. In the psychological realms, we are too driven by competition and conflict which needs to be tempered by collaboration and peace-making.
